Lenovo could be the game changer in the gadget market once the P70t is rolled out. Other brands  have rolled out gadgets perceived to have 'convenient' battery service but Lenovo seems to have redefined the meaning of convenient with its p70t.

The P70t specs

  • 5GHz 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6732 processor
  • 1GB of RAM
  • 5-inch HD display with OGS, 1280 x 720 resolution
  • 8GB of storage, expandable via microSD
  • 13-megapixel rear camera
  • 5-megapixel front camera
  • Dual-SIM
  • 3G, LTE (both SIMs)
  • WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS
  • Android 4.4 KitKat (unconfirmed)
  • 4000mAh battery

The striking spec in the gadget is the battery life that could last over 46 days standby in addition to which it can easily last for two days thanks to the advanced tech incorporated in the device. Once the user locks the phone, background apps automatically shut down to save power and even better, when the phone is fully charged and still connected to the socket, the phone utilizes power from the socket and not the battery to avoid wasting the battery charge.

The dual SIM gadget that supports SIM cards on 3G, 4G LTE and GSM networks has managed to stuff the giant battery pack, which is on top of that replaceable, in a 142mm x 71.8mm x 8.9mm chassis. Lenovo also claims 15 hours of screen on time and even beyond.

46 days'worth of battery service is the most exciting spec that comes with the gadget and how true that is will be confirmed once the company officially launches the anticipated device few weeks to come. Till then, Huawei Ascend Mate 2 still leads in the battery life department.
