Since its launch in 2009, Whatsapp has since been of strict phone use which has made it stand out among other social media platforms with both phone and PC versions.  Well, users can now access the messaging service on web browsers which means partial separation with our closest of gadgets.

For the first time, millions of will have the ability to use WhatsApp on their web browser. The web client is simply an extension of your phone: the web browser mirrors conversations and messages from your mobile device -- this means all of your messages still live on your phone.

How to install

To connect your browser to your whatsapp client, simply open https://web.whatsapp.com in your Google Chrome browser. You will see a QR code ---scan the code inside of WhatsApp, and you are ready to go. You have now paired WhatsApp on your phone with the WhatsApp web client.

However, your phone needs to stay connected to the internet for our web client to work, make sure to install the latest version of WhatsApp on your phone. Unfortunately for now, whatsapp will not be able to provide web client to iOS users due to Apple platform limitations.

Whatsapp now has about 700 million users sending 30 billion messages daily making it bigger than social media competitors operating both versions.
