Asus has launched intel Fonepad alongside two PC notebooks in a quest to boost both its local and regional PC market share; the worldwide top 3 consumer notebook and tablet brand plans to continue advancing its PC convergence business through the combination of various PC from factors to create innovative end products that address consumers needs.
The Intel Fonepad tablet features the android operating system equipped with 3G connectivity along with a speaker and mic. It will retail at Ksh 22,000.
On the other hand the X200 and F200 are similar notebooks that run on the Windows 8 operating system (OS). Asus F200 device has a Screen size of 11.6" which is touch screen with a High Definition screen mode. The device has a Storage size of 500 GB and a hard drive RPM of 5400 this will retail at ksh 61,000.
The only difference is in their 11.6" screen. While the F200 is touch the X200 isn't. The X200 is one that is incredibly cheap with a Performance that beats some low-end laptops up to double the price and with it a Decent keyboard. It's key features; 1.6-inch 1366x768 touch screen display; 1.24kg; Intel Celeron 1007U 1.5Ghz Processor; 4GB RAM; 500GB 5,400rpm hard drive. The device will retail at Ksh 35,000.

The introduction of the new devices comes at a time when the multinational is looking to ride on its Q2 PC shipment results that saw the growth of the company's PC market share owing to its strengthening notebook PC market.

In its business operations, the IT multinational has indicated that it will focus on channeling its resources towards strengthening its partnership with its dealers and or vendors across major local towns in efforts to reinforcing its EMEA PC market.
